Our vehicles can be supplied with an Autotrust Warranty. Autotrust Warranty is provided by Car Care Plan, one of the world’s leading providers of vehicle warranties. They work with motor dealers and car manufacturers and cover over 1 million customers annually.

WHAT’S COVERED?

Autotrust Warranty has two levels of cover. Each cover level has a list of parts covered or excluded – please refer to the Policy Document. The claims limits are outlined in the Policy Document and your Welcome Letter. Parts are covered for failure in the UK or mainland Europe.

WHAT’S NOT COVERED?

Consumable items such as brake pads or discs, tyres, oils & fluids aren’t covered by Autotrust Warranty. These items are designed to wear and will need replacing with time. We’re also unable to cover any items which have been modified from the manufacturer’s standard specification. Each cover level has a list of parts covered or excluded – please refer to the Policy Document.

IS LABOUR COVERED?

Yes – Autotrust Warranty covers parts, labour and VAT as outlined in your Policy Document.

WHERE CAN I GET MY CAR REPAIRED?

With an Autotrust Warranty you can choose the garage to have your car fixed – you can opt for a main dealer or your local independent repairer. All that we ask is that the repairer is VAT-registered, and that no repairs are started prior to our office being notified and providing approval. Your repairer will be able to manage any claim for you and we’ll liaise directly with your repairer to authorise and pay for valid repairs.

WHAT ARE THE SERVICING REQUIREMENTS?

It is a condition of this warranty that your vehicle is serviced in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines. Throughout the warranty period a VAT-registered garage must carry out all servicing. Services must be carried out within 500 miles / 4 weeks of the intervals specified by the vehicle manufacturer, whichever comes first.

HOW SOON CAN I MAKE A VALID CLAIM?

You can make a valid claim as soon as your policy is registered with us – there’s no waiting period before a claim can be made. Nevertheless if the failure already existed when your policy was registered your claim will not be covered unless you had a valid policy at the time of the failure.

IS RECOVERY INCLUDED?

No – Autotrust Warranty does not include recovery. This can be added for an additional fee.

WILL I HAVE TO PAY FOR A COVERED REPAIR?

Autotrust Warranty will pay for all covered repairs up to the maximum claim limit as outlined in the Policy Document (Maximum Claim Limit).

WHAT IF I’VE MODIFIED MY CAR?

Unfortunately, we can’t cover cars that are modified from their original manufacturer specification.

HOW DOES THE COURTESY CAR WORK?

If the repair to your car is going to take longer than expected, Autotrust Warranty will make a contribution of up to £30 a day for up to 7 days towards the cost of a hire car, as outlined in your Policy Document (Additional Benefits). Please note that we can’t contribute towards the first 24-hours that you are without your car. You should call us on 0844 573 8002 to gain hire car authorisation and then forward your claim for hire car contribution to us and include the valid receipts.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CAR BREAKS DOWN ABROAD?

If you break down abroad, you should have the car fixed locally and then contact us on your return to the UK to arrange for any reimbursement. Please ensure you obtain a full receipt for any work carried out. Unfortunately, we can’t liaise or authorise repairs directly with repairers overseas.

WHAT IF I SELL MY CAR?

If you decide to sell your car, you can transfer the warranty to the new owner, providing your policy is fully-paid. Simply call our Customer Services team on 0844 573 8002 to make the change, or complete the Warranty Transfer form at the back of the Policy Document. Please note: the transfer will be subject to a £25 administration fee and Car Care Plan must approve the transfer.

CAN I TRANSFER MY WARRANTY?

Yes, you can transfer your warranty if your policy is fully-paid (monthly renewing policies cannot be transferred). If you sell your car privately, you can transfer the warranty to the new owner by completing the Warranty Transfer form at the back of the Policy Document. Please note: the transfer will be subject to a £25 administration fee and Car Care Plan must approve the transfer.

I bought a great Vauxhall Vivaro from Midland cars online. Two weeks in and I am more than happy with my purchase. Max sold me the van and dealt with me from Start to finish, he was informative and respectful with a no pressure sell. He took a deposit at my request and held the van for nearly a week until I could get to view it. He was completely honest about the van’s condition. When I finally got to see the van he made me a brew and we chatted about all sorts other than the van. We moved onto the viewing and no nasty surprises, the van was exactly as he had described. He left me to have a look round myself for a while then he returned to take me for a test drive. Even after agreeing to purchase the van Max wouldn’t take payment until I could collect which was another week later. The whole experience has been great and I would fully recommend Midland cars online!

I really cannot speak more highly of the service I received from Max. From the initial telephone call to the brilliant service I received when I went to view the van to the follow up remedial works that he completed without hesitation. This man’s knowledge of the vehicles and more importantly his awareness of the service we as a customer expect is exceptional. If you want to buy a van or car go and see him. I think one of the most worrying things about buying a new vehicle is what will happen if it breaks down and how will the dealer respond. We recently bought a van from Midland Cars Online and an hour into the journey the vehicle started flashing warning lights and overheating. I called Max and he was immediately very apologetic and helpful. He advised me to get the vehicle to a garage and have it checked out and assured me that he would do whatever was needed to resolve the problem. Once I had the vehicle looked at by a local garage they advised me to send it back to Max and said that they thought the issue was probably fairly severe. I called Max and told him what had happened. Without hesitation he arranged to have the vehicle recovered from us. He also sold us a different vehicle, that was slightly more expensive, but with a discount as a gesture of good will, to make up for the hassle. The initial vehicle breakdown was beyond his control but the way he dealt with it was not. While the purchase of our van wasn't as seamless as it might have been we have come out of it with a fantastic vehicle and I can safely say that I would recommend Midland Cars Online to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle.

Recently bought a 10 year old Hyundai from Midland Cars. The car and buying experience was completely painless and Max was a pleasure to deal with. You often find out just how good a businesses is when something goes wrong, which in our case was a clutch that needed replacing. All resolved very quickly and completely amicably. Would have no hesitation in buying another car/van from Midland Cars. Highly recommended.
